Nestled in the picturesque village of Scorton and popular with walkers and cyclists, The Priory Inn offers a warm welcome to all visitors.
Whether you call in for a hearty lunch after a morning’s walk or stay for a short break, you are sure to be charmed by the traditional atmosphere and delicious food at The Priory Inn.
Situated just off the A6 and right on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Forest of Bowland, it’s the perfect based to explore the surrounding countryside and market towns.
This comfortable and lovingly managed family-run inn is just what you need to relax and unwind.
After a day exploring the area you can sample the fine selection of local ales from Bowland Brewery and Daniel Thwaites served in Stouts Bar, or perhaps try some of the local favourites served up in the restaurant. The famous 'Priory Hotpot' is perfect after a day’s cycling through the Forest of Bowland. Walkers and cyclists are made to feel particularly welcome at the Priory Inn.
You’ll find somewhere to store your bike and dry your clothes, and whatever the weather you’ll always get a warm welcome.
• 8 en-suite guest rooms • Tea & coffee making facilities in every room • Restaurant, tearoom and public house • Free Wi-Fi internet access • Gift shop • Cycle locks, cycle storage and drying facilities available to guests • Cycling & Outdoor Shop - clothing, eye wear and carbon fibre bikes
What is even better is that The Priory Inn has made great efforts to provide sustainable accommodation to guests and has achieved a Bronze award for their effort. 'To achieve the Green Tourism Business Scheme award the family who run the Priory Inn have pursued simple, low cost effective and cumulative measures which have led to saving energy costs. These include the use of low energy light bulbs; reducing laundry loads by encouraging environmentally conscious use of towels by guests; and the compacting of cardboard, paper and plastic waste for recycling. A local company is used for the collection of glass waste and they harvest rainwater for gardening purposes.
The Priory Inn is also a great advocate of walking and cycling, encouraging visitors to get out of their cars when visiting Bowland. They provide cycle locks, a cycle store and drying facilities.'
