Poulton-le-Fylde
A visit to the distinctly beautiful Poulton-le-Fylde is a real must. A wander through the cobbled square unearths the heritage of this traditional market town, as you can still see the stocks, whipping post and ancient St. Chad's Church (just come in the springtime for a fantastic show of crocuses in the churchyard).
A bustling town in the day, you can pop into one of the many boutique stores and pick up a special treat, or sit in one of the small cafes for a spot of lunch and a natter with your friends. Poulton-le-Fylde however, really comes to life at night. The many bars and restaurants are popular with locals and visitors alike. You will love the friendly atmosphere as you sip on a cocktail in one of the trendy bars or chat with the locals in one of the traditional ale houses. Why not time your visit when one of the local bands play for some great live music.
It’s useful to know that the main railway station for Wyre is situated in Poulton, so it’s a great place to base yourself and easy to get to.
