The London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay has now begun its momentous 70-day, 8,000 mile journey around the UK prior to the start of the Games on 27 July.


On Friday 22 June, we will welcome the Mother Flame to Wyre.

This will be a massive event for the area and in order to make it as memorable as possible, we are urging people to line the streets and cheer on the torchbearers as they pass through no less than four of our towns and villages.

To get you into the spirit of things, Wyre Council has organised a packed programme of events that will take place in each town (see below for details).
