2013 Event Highlights in Wyre
Garstang Walking Festival
10 - 19 May
Celebrate springtime in Garstang, rural Wyre, the Forest of Bowland and along the Lancaster Canal.
The annual festival is now in its 10th year and has a packed programme of walks and activities.
15 - 16 June
The biggest steam fair in the North West with over 600 exhibits of vehicles of all ages, shapes and sizes.
Fleetwood Bowls Festival
22 - 26 July
Marine Hall. Memorial Gardens and Fleetwood Bowling Club
The Bowling Festival draws enthusiasts from all over the North West and further afield.
Wyre Lane, Garstang
The Garstang & District Agricultural and Horticultural Society Show is a long-standing tradition of the town. It’s the 198th Show this year, with 15,000 visitors expected.
Wyre Estuary Country Park Open Day
Wyre Estuary Country Park, Thornton
A family day that includes greenwood workshops, exhibitions, country walks and children’s activities
Tractor Pulling Championships
24 & 25 August
Great Eccleston Showground
UK Championship finals. Tractor Pulling is called “The World’s Most Powerful Motor Sport” with some machines producing in excess of 9000 horsepower

Fylde Folk Festival
30 August - 1 September
Venues across Fleetwood
135 musical events with up to 200 musicians throughout 12 differnt venues. Features the very best of traditional British and International performers to entertain all ages and tastes in folk music
