Old Holly Farm is an all weather family attraction designed to appeal to visitors of all ages. Being a family run, working diary farm, the team at Old Holly are passionate about giving children (and adults alike) the opportunity to see, touch, smell, hear and taste the experience of a real working farm. But most importantly it’s about having fun, eating well and learning through play safely!

With a local produce Farm Shop, Courtyard Café, an indoor children’s Playbarn, plus a small farm with some traditional farm animals. Visitors can also watch our very own cow’s being milked every day at 4.30pm in our dairy viewing gallery – a great way to teach children about where their food comes from!

Our Farm Shop is full of local produce, with jams, preserves, biscuits, sweets and treats, as well as a selection of kids toys! We are also very lucky to have Angela on the farm, busy making her Coolcow Ice cream, which is made using our own cow’s milk!! The Ice cream is available to enjoy from our Farm Shop, and with 16 flavours to choose from it makes for a difficult decision! The Indoor Playbarn is a fantastic place for kids to burn off some energy in a safe environment! Our Playbarn has been specially designed for all ages, with a height restriction of 144cm.

The Playbarn café gives adults the perfect place to enjoy great food, hot drinks and homemade cakes whilst watching the children play. Our kids menu is great for hungry youngsters, the challenge will be getting them out of the Playbarn!!

The Courtyard Café provides an appetizing selection of meals and refreshments throughout the year, with its evolving menu and special boards reflecting the seasons and products sold in the shop. Wherever possible the produce and ingredients used are sourced from local suppliers, and our cows provide the milk used in all our drinks and cooking!

The inner courtyard and calf shed are home to the animals, with ponies, goats, pigs, rabbits, chicks and calves there is plenty for visitors to meet and interact with, in a safe environment. It is important to be responsible when visiting Farms, so visitors are encouraged to use the facilities and information provided to keep safe. There is also plenty of information on the Old Holly website, or contact the team for any specific queries. Don’t forget to watch the cows being milked before you go home!

Old Holly Farm also caters for children’s parties, special events, school visits and coaches are all welcome, please contact the farm for further details. An Access statement is available to download from the Old Holly Farm website.

Old Holly Farm holds the Learning Outside the Classroom and Access to Farms awards.

NEW Animal Paddocks!

Opened Easter 2011

We are very excited to have opened our outdoor Animal paddocks!

Our wheelchair and pram accessible paths let you enjoy meeting our animals in the sunshine (well hopefully!). Each paddock is named after a tree, which has been planted in the corner of each field.

Entrance to the paddocks is FREE, making Old Holly the best value place to be this half term! And why not treat yourself to a hot drink, cake, a spot of lunch or homemade CoolCow Ice Cream whilst you're here!! Please don't forget, that as we don't charge entry to our farm we ask customers not to bring their own food and drink onto our premises. Please be responsible whilst visiting our farm and animals, make use of our handwash facilities and pick up your rubbish!
