Garstang
Garstang is one of those true countryside gems, where you’ll find yourself enjoying some of the best local specialities. Known locally for its tasty home-grown produce, this small town loves nothing better than putting on a spread for passing visitors. Step inside the many specialist shops and pick up treats galore that you won’t find on any supermarket shelf. Don’t miss the local cheese-makers Dewlay for a wedge of Lancashire’s finest.
Passing right through the centre of the town is the peaceful Lancaster Canal, where you can watch the passing canal boats cruise by. Head down the canal to Guy’s Thatched Hamlet, for some tasty pub grub - perfect for a family get together.
