Situated within the middle of Fleetwood, Memorial Park is an irreplaceable legacy and it’s now 13 hectares of municipal parkland single it out as being Fleetwood’s only town park. In 1917 the park was renamed “Memorial Park” in memory to those who died in World War One. The memorial statue was added a few years later and memorial trees planted by the children who lost relatives.
Current facilities include 3 Crown Green Bowling Greens,refurbished children’s play area and picnic area, cenotaph memorial, duck pond, football pitches, and tennis courts.
