Visit Garstang information centre wins tourism award

Visit Garstang information centre has won Visitor Information Provider of the Year at the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourism Awards.

The centre was awarded the accolade at a glittering awards ceremony held at the Pleasure Beach Resort, Blackpool, and hosted by local actress Jodie Prenger on 22 September. Visit Garstang faced competition from larger venues in Blackburn, Lancaster and Pendle, and will now be entered into the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2012.

Located in Cherestanc Square in Garstang town centre, Visit Garstang is run by Wyre Council and was praised by the Tourist Board for its impressive facilities, comprehensive information, beautiful layout and a team offering the warmest of Lancashire welcomes.
