This weekend is jam packed with things to do in Fleetwood. Highlights include the Family Fun Day at Memorial Park and the Battle of the Bands at Marine Hall on Saturday 23 July, both organised by Wyre Council.
Family Fun Day at Memorial Park kicks off the day with all sorts of activities for from 11am-3pm. There’s lots for the kids to see including Punch and Judy, balloon modelling, face painting and a bouncy castle. Plus there’s a classic car display, a bulldog display team, tombola, competitions, food and drink, traditional ice creams and loads more. There’s no charge to enter, just turn up and enjoy the fun.
In the evening, Marine Hall will play host to Battle of the Bands from 7pm. Organised by Wyre’s Young Promoters the event celebrates the best new young bands around as they compete to win a prize of £500. Judges include John Walker, organiser of Tommyfest and Dan Atkinson of Rock Hard Music Studios. Tickets are £6 for adults and £3 for children and can be booked at Marine Hall – 01253 887693.
