Mayor of Wyre Previews Exclusive Shop at the Priory

The Mayor and Mayoress of Wyre, Cllr Russell and Christine Forsyth made a special visit to the Priory at Scorton near Garstang this week, to view recent developments at the popular tourist destination.

The Priory has always been well known for the quality of its home cooking and now it’s developing new business opportunities to complement existing facilities. A quality cycle shop exports top specification cycles across the world, with elite brands such as Look, De Rosa and Eddie Merckx. Now the Priory has now introduced an outlet for exclusive country clothing, including the new Musto Zara Phillips range, Berghaus and Gore.

The Mayor of Wyre toured the new shopping area, which has been themed around historic features of an old priory, and also visited the recently refurbished restaurant and bar along with the new reception area for the hotel.

Julie Lee of the Priory said. ‘We were delighted to welcome the Mayor to the Priory, he and the Mayoress enjoyed their visit and seemed impressed with the way we are improving all aspects of the business’
