New Website Signals Boost for Wyre Tourism

Wyre Council has launched a new and improved website on behalf of the Wyre Tourism Association to promote the quality rated range of accommodation, places to eat and things to do at key locations including Fleetwood, Cleveleys, Garstang and Poulton.

The new look site is a one stop information shop for people visiting Wyre and for residents looking to explore their local area. With the reader in mind, the site has been made much easier to navigate and new features include latest events, itineraries for groups travelling to Wyre, as well as updated news articles and access to social media sites to help visitors keep up to date with the latest goings on.

The new website reflects the commitment of local tourism businesses and Wyre Council to boosting the Visitor Economy in Wyre.

Michael Taylor, Vice Chairman of the Wyre Tourism Association, said: “In Wyre we have a lot to shout about and the new Visit Wyre website provides us with a great platform from which to do this.

“It provides members of the association with a tool to tell people what they can offer and gives visitors easy access to the many great tourist attractions and events in Wyre.”
