Christmas is coming at Thornton Little Theatre

If you’re looking for something to do over the festive period, Thornton Little Theatre has some of the finest shows, entertainment and performances for the whole family to enjoy.
The season kicks off on Saturday 3 December with Opera Event Christmas Gala, packed with popular opera classics and favourite Christmas songs performed by professional opera singers from some of the UK’s most prestigious opera houses. The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £12 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for under 16s.
Next up is Barry Parker’s musical concert ‘Hey for Christmas!’ on Sunday 4 December with plenty of seasonal songs and old favourites for the whole family to enjoy. Tickets are just £5 for adults and £3 for children and all proceeds go to local cancer charities.
If you are looking for a fun night out with friends why not come along to Craig Memphis King’s ultimate tribute to Elvis on Friday 9 December. With a repertoire including all the classics, Craig impersonates Elvis to a tee and leaves audiences gasping for more. Tickets are £8 and the performance starts at 7.30pm.
Thornton Cleveleys Band is performing popular and traditional sounds of brass for everyone to enjoy on Sunday 11 December at 7pm. Tickets are £4 for adults and £2 for children.
Continuing with the Christmas theme, Mike Lovell’s band Six-in-a-bar with Rosie is set to entertain with an evening of jazz on Friday 16 December. Supported by The Old Fashioned Love Band this Christmas gala concert will include traditional jazz standards along with tunes from the swing era. Starting at 7.30pm, tickets are £8.
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 December sees the return of the Tramshed Theatre Company and their Christmas Show, an exciting production showcasing all aspects of performing arts. Tramshed is an inclusive theatre company that embraces all individuals' talents and sees people with a range of abilities supporting each other and working together to achieve a great evening’s entertainment. Not to be missed! The show starts at 7pm and tickets are £6 for adults and £4 concessions.
What would Christmas be without a good old pantomime? This year the theatre is privileged to host Jack and The Beanstalk directed by Tom Bright from Tuesday 20 December through to Friday 6 January (no performance on Christmas Day). Starring Tom as Dame Trott, Welsh TV star Karen Roberts as the princess, as well as many local actors, there promises to be lots of family fun and laughs along the way. Tickets are £9 for adults and £7 for children.
To round up the celebrations there’s Breakfast with Father Christmas on Christmas Eve. Bring your little ones along to meet Father Christmas on stage for a present – guaranteed to get your child bursting with festive excitement. Tickets are £9.50 and the party starts at 8.45 am finishing at 11am.
