Margaret Richardson, Little Stubbins B&B owner had quite a fight on her hands after a malicious review on Trip Advisor was posted by someone who she believed was not a guest. After highlighting the issue, Margaret succeeded in getting some great press coverage while hopefully changing the practices of Trip Advisor and raising the profile of quality accommodation in Wyre.
Margaret appeared on The One Show in a report about Trip Advisor not supporting accommodation providers when they get malicious or dubious reviews. Margaret was filmed at the Trip Advisor work shop in Manchester when she got to put her questions to Nathan Clapton, General Manager of Trip Advisor Manchester. The programme was filmed at Little Stubbins as well as another B&B in Sheffield and Kwik Chez, a reputation web site who is fighting the corner for accommodation providers against dodgy reviews.
Happy to say since her interview with Nathan Clayton, Trip Advisor are now looking into the case and have removed the review in question from Little Stubbin’s review page until they have verification from the reviewer in question.
Little Stubbins now also receives top marks of 5 star customer ratings on Trip Advisor.
