This Diamond show celebrates the opening of Blackpool's own Whittaker Dance Drama Centre on February 11, 1952 by Beryl Whittaker.

This show is for the whole family.

It includes routines of all kinds - Riverdance, tap spectaculars, ballet, street dance and popular musicals.

The worshipful Mayor of Blackpool, Clr Joan Greenhalgh sent the following message to the centre.

'It gives me reat pleasure to extend my very best wishes to everyone at Whittaker Dance and Drama Centre on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the Centre.

For all these years Whittaker Dance and Drama Centre have produced an arry of talent and many former pupils now feature in television dramas and in National productions of a high calibre.

The Mayoress and I are looking forward to seeing the next show and we are sure that it will, once again, a successful one.

We hope that Whittaker Dance and Drama will produce home grown talent for many more years to come!'
