The main High Street is closed to traffic and is filled with thousands of people roaming freely to grab last minute presents and enjoy the atmosphere of the true ‘sprit of Christmas’.
The festivities start with children singing and meeting Father Christmas! There is so much going on; many street entertainers, dancers, Garstang’s own town crier, Punch and Judy, Choirs, Morris Dancers and a Brass Band to mention but a few.
There is also late night shopping with many businesses giving hospitality throughout the evenings, along with the many variety of stalls it is a great opportunity for late night shopping. Don’t forget the traditional Christmas Fayre such as roast chestnuts and hog roast to tantalise the taste buds.
The Visit Garstang Centre will also be open during the evening for you to pick up information about the event and the local area. There will also be children's activities being to get the kids involved in.
